The Nativity is a great holiday project. Unique among the thousands of Nativity scenes around the world. Nearly all wood. The color in photos is not paint but rather from over 20 different hardwoods. The stable and accessories are mostly from Baltic birch. Trees, distant city and other accessories can be painted. Color information is included. The roof is fashioned from strands of jute. Use grass hay or straw in the wall manger and wrapped bundles. The starry sky over distant Bethlehem is from printouts included with the plan. Patterns are full size with detailed cutting and assembly instructions. But the real surprise comes when room lights are lowered and the star raised up from behind the set the nativity lighting turned on. The option includes four beam type LEDs that light the Star of the East, the manger and over a dozen windows in the distant city. Instructions included for using a standard LED flashlight, a little wire, a switch and basic soldering to add the lighting effects. Three AA batteries will light the scene for over three weeks.
