The design is based on the Biblical story of Noah and the Ark. Our full size patterns detail making the Ark, Noah’s family and 30 assorted animals and birds. It’s delightful. The Ark and the extras shown here are from over three dozen colorful assorted hardwoods. The only painting needed is on the rainbow and copula. The spacious ark has a door/ramp that opens for arriving animals. Also the whole front of the hull folds down to reveal two stories of animal corrals. The house on top lifts off on both sides to reveal more stalls and bird perches. Add wood buckets, barrels and bales of hay for the animals. A real surprise is as the copula on top is tipped to the side, a colorful rainbow rises skyward and a dove appears with an olive branch from discovered land. A small amount of hardware is needed. Rainbow coloring information is included. This in an ambitious project that will yield a woodworking treasure. For intermediate to advanced woodworkers. Our 11″ x 17″ plans take little workbench space. The copyrights allow making a photocopy of the full size patterns. Trim out the patterns, apply spray adhesive on the backs and place on stock prepared to the thickness noted on the pattern. You get accurate parts and no tracing.
