This is a birdcage woodworking plan inspired by fine art from 250 years ago. Old world appointments adorn this functional Victorian Birdcage. Build the cage with a turned base with three legs or construct the cage alone for a table top or for hanging. A door, perch and swing are described in the plan. The cage walls are formed from 1/8″ diameter dowels. The project is all wood except for the cage door hardware. Shown: white ash with aspen accents and black walnut trimmed with padauk. 68″ tall x 14″ wide. For intermediate to advanced woodworkers. Our 11″ x 17″ plans take little workbench space. The copyrights allow making a photocopy of the full size patterns. Trim out the patterns, apply spray adhesive on the backs and place on stock prepared to the thickness noted on the pattern.
