A woodworking plan with simple design but effect way to humanely trap small animals. A reliable, all wood animal trap. Can be made in a variety of sizes depending on animals desiring to catch. Size shown works fine for squirrels, skunks, stray cats, etc. Place bait in the left end (main image) through a latched door. Tip the right side down as the trap lid is lifted up. A bracket on the end supports the lid. As the animal steps in, it moves to the left toward the bait, the trap tips and the door drops shut and latches. A window in the food door end allows confirmation of a catch. Carry to a distant location to release or turn over to animal control. A round version is also shown which can be made from a concrete forming tube. Round PVC pipes, if large enough, could be used too. The wood version is 42″ long x 12″ wide x 11″ high. Our 11″ x 17″ plans take little workbench space. The copyrights allow making a photocopy of the full size patterns. Trim out the patterns, apply spray adhesive on the backs and place on stock prepared to the thickness noted on the pattern. You get accurate parts and no tracing.
