This classic rocking horse from our woodworking plan is rich with floral and ribbon appointments in dark and light colored woods. It captures the spirit of flower covered Carousel Horses from the 1800s. It has been very popular with women woodworkers. A national wood project contest winner. It can be used for Christmas displays, decorating a family room or nursery, as a prop for photography or for store window merchandising. Children can ride with some modification and adult at their side. No carving is needed on this project. Primary work can be done with a band saw, router and drill press. The project is nearly all wood. Suggested woods are listed in the plans. Wrap colorful ribbons around the pole for added trim. 34″ long x 27″ high at the seat x 16″ wide. For intermediate to advanced woodworkers. Our 11″ x 17″ plans take little workbench space. The copyrights allow making a photocopy of the full size patterns. Trim out the patterns, apply spray adhesive on the backs and place on stock prepared to the thickness noted on the pattern. You get accurate parts and no tracing.
