Woodworking patterns to make a wood version of the 1927 Mercedes-Benz Motor Wagon. A car that was a stylish roadster from the Mercedes German automobile manufacturer thru the mid to end of the 1920s. It came in many variations, body changes and engine sizes. It was highly cherished by car owners. It was renowned as a racing car. This version in wood is based on features representing a couple of years, but mostly near 1927. The plan is packed with over 200 drawings, two dozen photos and ample text to guide intermediate to advanced woodworkers through the project. It is almost all wood except for the elegant wheels with spokes fashioned from 20 gauge copper wire to give a realistic appearance to this vintage vehicle. Build the wheels following detail photos, drawings, text including making a jig to simplify construction. The base, name plaque and Autobahn highway sign are outlined in the plan. It is suggested the patterns are copied to preserve the original pages then trim out the pattern and attach to wood prepared to the thickness noted in the plan. All car patterns are full size. Refer to this site or the site where you purchased the plan for color images of a finished Sport Wagon. Every pattern is full size and shown with bold lines.
