HORSE AND CARRIAGE WOODWORKING PLAN

Our Horse and Carriage woodworking plan has generated a lot of excitement.  An ideal wood project for intermediate to advanced woodworkers.  The piece in the photos in nearly all wood with the horse in Mahogany and Rosewood, the carriage in Walnut, Red Heart, Maple with details in other assorted woods.  A unique display featuring a rock wall and pillars is described in the woodworking plan.  A great conversation piece to display on a fireplace mantel, on a cabinet shelf or on a desk.  Included in the plan are detail for making decorative tack for the horse, lanterns for the carriage, button style upholstery for the two benches and the street light, water trough, and hitching post on the display board.  The carriage is inspired by early Studebaker carriage designs.  Every pattern for the coach and horses are full size.  Over 200 photos, drawings and detailed text outline building the project.  Make copies of the full size patterns, apply a spray adhesive, attach to wood prepared to the thickness indicated on the pattern, and cut.  Build in colorful domestic and exotic hardwoods.  Most of the project can be cut on a band or scroll saw.  Lathe work is optional.  Other common shop tools needed.  Dimensions:  The carriage is 11″ long, 9″ high, 6 1/2″ wide.  The base with added features is 29″ long 13” deep and 13″ high.
